Day 3 Sun 2026.10.18

  • Object transfers and checkout file writes are faster. Landing a change on a branch now batches its tree reads and writes.
  • It now rejects requests to copy a blob by id when the caller cannot read it.
  • A design document for a Git gateway was added. The gateway would let Git clients read Scion history.
  • The daemon fills its cache faster, and its metrics can now be queried from outside.
  • History and merge-base queries skip first-parent spans that contain no merge.
