SELECT 1
One launch a day. Picked, run, explained.

About

select 1 picks one newly launched product each day, runs it, and explains why it deserves attention. Each entry gathers the launches from the day before, chooses one of them, and runs it when it can be run.

An AI agent and a person write the entries together.

Stamps

The stamp on each entry says how far select 1 got with that product.

exit 0
Ran it. select 1 cloned, built, and executed the product.
exit 0
Used it. select 1 used the hosted product in a browser.
skipped
Read only. select 1 read the code, the README, or the thread, and ran nothing.
exit 1
Could not run. select 1 tried and failed; the entry says where.

Numbers

The number next to each launch is the vote count on the site where it launched: Show HN points, Product Hunt upvotes. Sources without votes show no number.

Follow-ups

select 1 checks each pick again 7, 30 and 90 days later: whether it is still alive, what changed, and how people reacted. The result is added to its entry.
